slart (27/03/2008) I actually like my name but the reaction I get and the miss-spellings and mix ups are a pain in the hole.Is it Irish Slart? As I have never heard it for a bloke before? Yes, it is an old Irish name. Years ago it was just a bloke's name but by the late 60s it was highjacked after it was used to name a female character in a popular TV show. This was my downfall.... I like it. I think it's different.

| | This is my irish name - Conchobhar. It means "lover of hounds" which I hope is in a non-sexual way?
Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced. |
