| | Ingerlund. What a load of bollocks. Why are we not at this summers Euro's? 90 minutes last night showed why. Capello played the old boys, the so called golden era, and yet again they prove they're just not good enough. This shouldn't just have been a vehicle for Berkham to get his 100th cap, it should have been another chance for the new set up to look at other players with the World Cup qualifiers coming up. What REALLY pisses me off is the bollocks they talk after the match, such words as 'positive', and 'improved' should not be used when A, we're lost, B, we were total shite. On another note wonder what SWP thinks now it's pretty nailed on that Fabio sees Bentley as the future on the right flank? then again maybe his £80k a week is some sort of comfort.

He probably cries, but then wipes his tears away on freshly minted £50 notes. I switched the game off after about 30 mins, to read a book.

| | Interesting to know whether SWP would still be in the team if he'd stayed at City or not. Personally, I think there's an element of defenders knowing how to play him now as well so I'm not sure he would tbh. I've not watched an England game for years now. Just can't do it. Go out instead to avoid temptation followed by certain disappointment and frustration. Mrs O' says she'd like to go to an England match sometime. Not with me she won't.

| I thought it was hilarious. Watched the "highlights" on BBC1. Dreary rubbish. Why did they wheel Becks out for his 100th cap? Was Cappello under instructions from the blazers? Why was a lazy drug cheat made captain? France are no great shakes themselves at the moment but they were clearly better than England. I thought the pundits on BBC were hopeless as well. They are scared to tell the truth.

| Miggs (27/03/2008) Could be worse cloudy, you could have to watch the soccerwhos. Now thats deplorable football. But it this ridiculous great expectations we have with England. Every game is going to be the one where "we show what we're capable of" which of course we invariably do.

If he'd had fielded an experimental starting 11 and lost most people would have understood, but he didn't, he picked up one of McClowns old team sheets and the players duly obliged by playing like a set of clueless tossers.

What strikes me is the deluded sense of Engalnd's standing in international football. This stuff about the "golden generation" is laughable. There is a huge gap between the reality (at their best quarter finals) and the hype (world cup winners). Having ego driven players more interested in book deals and Hello! covers doesn't help either.
