amazing albums . . . amazing live

What do the waves have to say?
What do the waves have to say now now?
Slow now
I let the waves have their way now now
Slow
I let the waves have their day

Seen them twice, once in October and then at the start of this month...they're are my favourite live band, with Courteeners soon to take over

Didn't do much for me when I saw them live. Not overly keen on the albums either, but each to their own.

Ditto.

you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass
he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

A poor man's Interpol...

Love Editors debut album, it rocks like a mother******.  Not so sure about the new stuff.

Someone get a message through to Captain Snort
That they better start assembling the boys from the fort.
And keep Mrs. Honeyman right out of sight,
'Cos there's gonna be riot down in Trumpton Tonight.

Cracking debut album, difficult second IMO.

Understand the Interpol connection but the 'poor mans' bit is harsh.

Especially as Interpol are a poor man's Joy Division. I ignored the editors due to their boring name.

Bands should have proper names - like Witchfinder General, Electric Wizard or Orange Goblin.

I had to google Orange Goblin as I liked the name so much. Iron Monkey is also entertaining. Doom Metal would appear to be a source of good names.

Orange Goblin are a heavy metal band from the United Kingdom that formed in 1995. They have gained a somewhat cult status in the UK doom metal scene, where they rank among groups such as Electric Wizard and Iron Monkey.

This is what happens when stoners sit around rehersal rooms and spend the entire night dreaming up great names for their bands.

Other classics include Fu Manchu, The Fucking Champs and Celtic Frost.  Names you'd be proud to have on your t-shirt.
