| | We can't get rid of Elano after one season. Give the lad time to adjust to the rigours of the prem. Henry, Drogba and Ladyboy would have been sold after their first year. I can't understand city fans being so impatient. It's not as if he hasn't shown us what a class player he can be. Dunne is a legend and can continue to be a rock at the back and give invaluable help to the young un's. He's been there and come out of it from a personal level. |

| i said all along if we can get 10 mil for him sell him, inter were keen butu i dont know about now. Is great on his day and in the warmer weather, maybe sell him in the january window next year and he should have played a few good games in the summer months and sell him before it gets too cold for him.

ESM (25/03/2008) If Dunny and Elano went in the summer I wouldn't be too upset.
There, I've said it.Concurrage ESM. I agree too, Both great players on their day, but we can live without them. Elano Probably needs more time, but he has been nothing special since he came back from injury, and he is the reason we dont play 2 up front. Dunne, Ive said it before (waits for Benny's Comments) he is a great player for the club, gives 100%, but has cost us games with strange F ups, his distribution is woeful Danny, unless your looking for a ball out to row Z (But he is not alone either). Plus he is not the most agile defender either. Having said that, I will not be unhappy to see them both next season either.

| Okay, I am a firm believer in 'each to their own opinion' but seriously, WHAT THE F^CK are you lot talking about.
Shift Elano?! Eh? It would make zero sense. He has only played 20 games? He has scored on a quarter of those occasions and one of our highest goalscorers (if not the highest) this season? I dont think anyone would deny his opening 6 matches were superbia, he has gone off the boil a little of late and now you want to shift him.
We would be laughing stock, I could see the likes of any EPL team going in for him if they could afford him, and he would not be out of place in any top Euro club.
My opinion is it would be shooting ourselves in foot. I am not saying he will definitely find early form again, we hope so of course, but I am saying he should be given the opportunity to atleast try.

| | I am convinced some of you lot are on crack. Elano has been one of our best players this season. He has not been as consistant as we would like but I'm sure that will come with time. He's young and could play a big part in City's future. Richard Dunne has been our best player for years. I wouldn't swap him for any other central defender in the Premiership. We have had a good devensive record for years and a lot of that is down to him.

| Danny's Studs (26/03/2008) Feel I have allies in Slart and Badge then atleast!Me too, player of the year for 3 probably 4 seasons on the bounce. and on his day our best player 5 in 20 is unbelievable for a 1st season and people have to remember it is his 1st season, he will be better next year when he's had prem experience and experienced a prem winter as he himself has admitted was difficult. We're a side on the up we're supose to keep our best players and build around them.

| | My intitial post said, "I wouldn't be too bothered if they went in the summer." I didn't say we should get rid or sell. Reason for this is that I have a feeling that Dunnie may want away for whatever reason, only he knows. As for Elano, he's similar to Gio in many ways, when on from he's world class, off form a bystander. He's no started blaming the bloody state of the pitches for his poor form, utter bollocks. I suspect he also would jump at a move to Spain or Italy if someone comes knocking. We need players with 100% commitment, and unlike a year or so back we don't have to shit ourselves every transfer window because of the fear of loosing one of our top players. It's now OUR choice, plus we have the funds to bring in quality replacements. So as I said I'm not bothered, although I do feel differently about our home grown players.
