Bill Bastard (25/03/2008)
I've noticed our tendency to knock it long out of defence creeping back in over the last six or seven games. Its coincided with what Sven described as other teams figuring us out - sticking all their men behind the ball and leaving fuck all space in midfield. Settled full back/winger combinations on both flanks will help I think, if we ever get that, but until then I think we'll continue to struggle with distribution from defence. I wouldn't blame Dunnie too much for it though.

Get rid of Dunne and Elano? Is that how we want the manager to go about building a stable squad?

If Dunny and Elano went in the summer I wouldn't be too upset.

There, I've said it.

Concurrage ESM.

He did. Almost. He said he wouldn't be bothered if we did. I think benny was refering to Bill's post when he said about sarcastic. Oh I dont know. I'm confused.  Either way, one of us has got the wrong end of the stick.

I think we all got the wrong end. I was referring to Bill, and I hadn't read ESM's post.

I don't want to see the back of Dunne. I think he's a stable player who has stuck with the club through thick and thin on and off the pitch, and has also saved us from certain defeat on many an occassion.

Elano wouldn't bother me too much, but I would be questioning Sven if he were to sell him after one season. As people have said I think he can regain his form, and hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later!

Oh btw...

Dunne is our most consistent performer.. I would imagine he alone wins us more points per game than anyone else in the team.

Elano, whilst he has frustrated me a lot recently I do think he will come good again. Players of his type can take longer to adjust than most in what is a stupidly fast paced and physical league.
