| i also feel a bit unsure about whether he'd be the same player again if he came back... not only out of form and fitness.. but his self belief and motivation may have gone.

| SIR JOEY BAG! (23/11/2006)
That's what happens when you become desperate to make an impact. I must admit, I'd rather have him diving in the penalty area for us, rather than what Thatcher did to Mendes. It's what happens when you're learning from Droba. Although i wouldn't want him diving for us, i don't want anyone cheating at our club. I wouldn't even want that ahead of the Thatcher thing. At least he did us a favour by getting himself banned

| | Can't agree more. The thing is, if he did come back, we'd welcome him with open arms I suppose.

| Chelsea have turned Shauny into an out and out winger and he won't be half the player he used to be. I think his passing has taken a turn for the worse and he probably wouldn't get 5 goals in his first season back with us

| | Shaun has gone from a happy smiley kid who loved his football into a dour Morinho "professional" and, personally, I'd not want him back now. If he's honest with himself he knows he's got to take a backward step if he wants first team and England football but to go back to the club that sold him for £21m even on loan would make him look a complete reject so it won't happen. And that's probably best for him and us.

| The thought of having SWP is crazy, Richards wants to play for city, SWP does'nt, Richards has form, SWP does'nt. Richards can play in 3 positions SWP only 2, (right midfield, and boot boy). Richards is the future very much like garlic bread.... If SWP came on loan, do you really think he will be the player of 2 seasons ago, no way, he's lost his edge, he's a one trick pony, if you cast your minds back, every attack went through SWP, we now play a more balanced game...Trabelsi is a better tackler and plays the averages....I say no to SWP and yes to Richards

| blueinyorkshire (24/11/2006) , if you cast your minds back, every attack went through SWP, we now play a more balanced game...Trabelsi is a better tackler and plays the averages....I say no to SWP and yes to RichardsI'd disagree. When SP took over towards the end of the season before last, SWP was injured for the first seven or eight games wasn't he? We were playing good football without him, and with him when he came back into the team. He was our most potent attacking player at the time anyway, so the majority of our chances were always going to invole him in some way. I'd struggle to say who our most potent attacking player is at the minute - Joey? SWP was also a fine tackler. However I also say yes to Richards. Can't we have them both?
