| Johnson, Harte, Ned, Micah, Ball, Vass - all regular players. More than most Prem teams. Does it really matter? The captain and our best and most popular player is a foreigner - Richard Dunne.

| | City and Sven did more for the English national team with giving Hart a chance than a lot of other clubs. But yes it is a problem for the national team that so few players in the Premier League are English.

But yes it is a problem for the national team that so few players in the Premier League are English. It might also be a problem that so few English players play in foriegn leagues. This results in a pool that is neither wide nor deep. |

| | i thought about this the other day and how the cricket team used to limit each team to one overseas player, im not sure what it is now, not more than two or three i think. but anyway it hasnt helped them at all. i think we just need to accept that we are a relatively small country, with poor weather, the kids are in school and the highly populated areas have limited outdoor playing areas. the only options are to improve our climate through global warming so that the days are longer and dryer and kids can play outside more. and then take the kids out of school so they can practise football more rather than being in school getting educated. and take talented players out the city and grow them on football farms in the fields. sorted.
