beer (18/03/2008)
City: I like the team. Young and with potential. Sven: I like him ,too. Sometimes an idiot concerning women and football tactics but a nice chap Benjani: not great, but an improvement. But he has to score another goal soon Thaksin:no I don't like him and I am disappointed that so manyon herecan't support City and condemn Thaksin at the same time. Oh dear, beer. this hasn't gone very well for you now has it? On my part anyway - I don't think I've sold my soul, it was still there the last time I looked - I cheer Thaksin because I'm in favour of shooting drug dealers and I think all the things he did for the rural poor of Thailand were simply marvellous - health care for all, now that's the sign of a good politician. I love him. - I love you too. Can I touch your leg? - Who are you calling "working class"? I'll have my manservant thrash you to within an inch of your wife.
From Manchester with love |

| | City is City regardless of who is running the club. His previous dealings and his ideals for our club are mutually exclusive and he should therefore be judged as such. I would happily get into the political ramifications but i feel this forum is about MANCHESTER CITY and therefore talk about the future of the club, not of the past of an individual. I like being better!! It's not as if i've seen it before! Can we not just be happy for me and my continued state of elation that we might actually be going somewhere!! Please???

| beer (18/03/2008)
emigre (18/03/2008)
beer (18/03/2008) when you look at the Tottenham game and how Thaksin was cheered like a hero when he is a crook who exploited his country and only sees City as a business venture and an opportunity to boost his popularity.
It is sickening to see people mainly from the working class celebrating this shady fortune hunter in his Bentley, because they hope he might help City.
Anybody thought of the possibility that the whole thing could go wrong and Thaksin could be in the worst case be imprisoned and all his money could be frozen? When what would happen with City??I know you want this to happen but it probably won't and until anything is proven then you are committing libel. So as for selling integrity, you talk rubbish. Of course, you're a glory-hunting rag fan so what would you know of integrity. interesting. so we can agree that you think that you have more integrity than a "rags" fan. But do the people who have cheered Thaksin really have more integrity than the "rags" fans. You are an ignorant fool. You have no idea what you are talking about. You believe from reading the articles in the paper that you are informed. You are sadly mistaken. I have had relatives who lived in thailand for about 25 years during thaskins reign and after it too, and I too lived there for a year after the coup. From what my relatives have told me, and from what i've heard whilst i was over there, the best years in thailand and the ones of most prosper were when thaskin was in power and that once he was ousted in the military coup that conditions deteriorated and the majority of people wanted him back, this was quite obvious when i was over there talking to the locals; his own people still support him so theres nothign wrong with us doing it too. So we belive he has reportedly done some questionable things but unless you know what you're talking about my friend just bugger off and be ignorant somewhere else.

| Beer just fuck off and go pester some other boards, or better yet go and play in traffic. I used to be able to tolerate your bullshit but not anymore. Just go away, no one here is interested in the verbal diarrhea spewing from your rag mouth.

| I think there are points to be made- No Thaksin - No Sven......
- Having said that, the efficient and consistent players this season have been the tried and trusted players that were here pre-sven......messrs Dunne, Richards, Ball, Hart, Hamann & Johnson. However i feel the players sven has brought in have helped these players to move forward in their game and I love the way that city play the game on the deck.
In conclusion, wether Thaksin is a good thing or a bad thing is irrelevant. All i can say is that my brother has been a citizen of thailand since 1998 and he reckons that when Thaksin came into power he created a safer less corrupt society for thai natives. And that he was loved and adored in thailand by the people of thailand. I dont believe that for a moment that city is a business aquisition for Thaksin more a labour of love and city fans should welcome the doc with open arms.
