| The Ghost Of Gibbi (17/03/2008) No... If it makes any sense at all, I think he's too big for the club. It's like when Rag mates say "I bet you'd have Ronaldo/Rooney at City", I say no. I think they are good players, but I fear if we sign just one player this big we will turn into a team that ends up playing everything through them. That's my opinion as well. I think Everton are the model example of how to build a "team". They don't have many/any outstanding "star" players but perform brilliantly as a unit.
you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

Everton, Villa and Pompey are all teams doing extremely well with sod all money, not one "massive" player between them, and no disruption within the team, and look how they're doing. I suspect this has only come to this because we have the money now. If it'd been Sven and Wardle, we wouldn't be dreaming of Henry, never mind being linked with him

| ono5985 (17/03/2008) Considering we was being linked with Nathan Tyson 18 months ago, i fail to see how anyone can turn their nose up at Henry for just over £1M more than Bianchi cost us.£10m for a 30+ is a lot of money for short term gain, if that is indeed what it'd turn out to be. Think we should buy more players like Elano and Petrov who are at the start of their peak and who can develop into star players whilst at City.
Sometimes I wish that I could stop you from talking when I hear the silly things that you say |

Is a little greedy but sven lucks determind to play 1 up front anyway. Dont think he would come though, we're setting our sights a little high imo
