just imagine the kind of influence he would have on the likes of sturridge and caicedo hence improving there game hence working in the long term

Fair point although you could argue he had a negative impact on the youngsters at Arsenal who have improved from his leaving.

but would they be the success they are now without learning some of their craft from henry,

True but that fact that he's not performed since leaving Arsenal just makes me wonder if he's got too big for his size 10's.

Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced.

If there is any truth in this then it would be a yes for me. £10m seems reasonable

It's a no from me.

I think we should be looking more long term and Tel's best days are in the past besides he still has an ego the size of the Eiffel Tower.

Concurrage. Also heard Owen was still a target. Another no to that too.

Considering we was being linked with Nathan Tyson 18 months ago, i fail to see how anyone can turn their nose up at Henry for just over £1M more than Bianchi cost us.

Talentwise, I've no problem with Henry even if he is past his prime but having read what his former team mates had to say about feeling more freedom to play their own game once he'd left, I'd rather not turn City into a one-man show.  What we need is good teamwork, not one ego and a bunch of others doing his bidding.

I hear what you're saying LM and to a point I agree. However, there is an option that might work. Would Henry be prepared to play right wing, a position he was brought to Arsenal to play in the first place. Would give us options to switch him around and he still terrifies defenders. Either way I'd like to see him at City if only for a year.

It's not simply a matter of where he plays, though, is it?  If the rumours are true and he demands that he is the star of the show and everyone must pass to him (OK, that is an exaggeration of the reports, but you get the gist) then surely he would be like that whether he played as a striker or as a winger?  Not good for the team in either case.  I'm also not so sure he would want to play as a winger these days, though I suppose if you don't ask, you don't get.

I admit, when I first heard the rumour I was quite enthusiastic about it (and I'd definitely take him over Owen, any day), but then I remembered the effect he had on the Arsenal team once he started to believe the hype.

No... If it makes any sense at all, I think he's too big for the club. It's like when Rag mates say "I bet you'd have Ronaldo/Rooney at City", I say no. I think they are good players, but I fear if we sign just one player this big we will turn into a team that ends up playing everything through them.
