Goal aisde I think he contributed little today, coughed the ball up alarmingly easy, and had he not have score he would have been worst on pitch.

I had this argument with TiD via text who thinks he's alright, I really dont know how he is holding on to his short right now.

Thought he had his best game for a while today. His running and tracking off the ball was very good. True, he gave the ball away a couple of times, but at least he was trying to make the forward passes that have been so lacking from our recent play.

Quite a few people in the grround were getting on his back, that really pisses me off. the lad's been shunted around all over the midfield and hasn't really been allowed to settle in any one position. Given a few games in the middle of the park I think he can do OK.

I'd concur. He's played both wings, in the middle, and off the front man. He always gives his best I think-he intercepted a boat load of passes today, and getting on his back is never going to help, expecially as his temperament seems to be a little dicky-the boy needs encouragement.

Thought everyone did alright today. Ned had a few shaky moments, as did both full backs but they were up against some good attacking players so it was never going to be plain sailing.

Castillo in particular looked very good. Full of running, did loads of chasing down and always looked to make himself available for a pass. He's definitely not a winger though - looks like he'd be better as a second striker in a free role.

Yeah-just off Benji mebbe? He was unlucky not to bag-spuds threw all kinds in front and just did enough. I like his blue boots.

I admit he did do some good defensive work today and he did intercept quite a few passes. That was on the plus side, on the negative and as I said before, he did give the ball away cheaply. He tries these flicks and back-heels without looking to see if the player he's passing to is even there. A positive again was that he did try a lot more forward passes instead of the sideways ones that have been his staple lately. And one last negative... his hair.

Elano's roll you mean? In place of?

C'mon, be fair, you can't buy hair like that. Or can you?

Anyway, I preferred how he had it against Utd, he could slice through the air like a knife through butter with a barnet like that.

I like Ireland, his alright today. I see no reason to take him out of the side. As Bill says, loads of people have a go at him in the ground, and i see no reason why. For some reason he is a scapegoat.

Nery was very good today. He's so small though that the ball looks massive at his feet.
