Its not really unnoticed if you live in central or west Lancs though.

That's a bit like saying the Dundee derby's unnoticed. Or unoticed if you prefer.

Which of those spellings is right? The second looks all wrong.

For me, a derby is 2 clubs from the same city, end of. Sunderland Newcastle is not a derby, nor is Leeds Bradford or PNE/Pool. It is a hugely contested, important game for the clubs, but not a derby. That's just my derby laws tho, but I shan't be changing.

That's the Manchester derby fucked then.

Technicality and you know it. What are they called?

Yeah yeah. What are they called?

Edit: I don't buy in to this "not from Manchester" thing, it smacks of widest pitch and tallest floodlights. They are, and we beat them twice. That'll do for me.

They are from Manchester. Clearly. Where's Newton Heath? Where's Trafford? We can do better than that argument.

Apologies for my ignorance. I just think that's the sort of thing that makes us look bitter, and we should worry more about beating them which we are. Oh, and Wiki tends to disagree...

The Metropolitan Borough of Trafford is a metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester, England. It has a population of 211,800,[1] covers 41 square miles (106 km²),[2] and includes the towns of Altrincham, Partington, Sale, Stretford, and Urmston.

The borough was formed on April 1, 1974 by the Local Government Act 1972 as a merger of the boroughs of Altrincham, Sale, and Stretford, the urban districts of Bowdon, Hale, and Urmston and part of Bucklow Rural District. All were previously in Cheshire, apart from Stretford and Urmston which were in Lancashire. The River Mersey flows through the borough, separating North Trafford from South Trafford. Historically the Mersey also acted as the boundary between the historic counties of Lancashire and Cheshire.

The Trafford area has a long heritage, with evidence of Neolithic, Bronze Age, and Roman activity. Amongst the relics of the past are three castles – one of them a Scheduled Ancient Monument – and over 200 listed buildings. The area underwent change in the late 19th century and the population rapidly expanded with the arrival of the railway. Trafford is the home of Manchester United F.C., Lancashire County Cricket Club, Manchester Phoenix, and formerly Sale Sharks. Also in Trafford is the Imperial War Museum North.

Oh come of it Benjamin..the United aren't from Manchester bit is just as good as calling them gloryhunters. It's a bit of banter...if it gets on their tits a little bit then i'm all for it.

Plus, the bitter blue thing is something i wear as a badge of pride
