Born Unlucky (07/04/2008) Could somebody please tell me what makes Newcastle more massiver than us? The fickle fans? The longer wait for a trophy (sorry, forgot about the Inter-Toto they won last year)? The fact they buy everyone elses cast offs? Which is it?
Keegan, Barton and Newcastle continue to shoot themselves in the foot. It'd be hilarious if it wasn't so tragic. The best thing about this mini revival they are having is that it'll give them all renewed confidence (arrogance) ahead of next seasons debacle. Oh the joy.
Erm, AlanShearer played for them? Yeah, that's it. That'd definitely make them a bigger club than us.
Newcastle fans = most over-inflated egos of any club.
I think they are more "passionate" than us. The 12,500 who used to turn up on a regular basis to cheer them at the foot of the second division were very pasionate.
Eggs at lee. The Most passionate fans in the world TM who never turned up and were largely unaware there was a football club prior to being in the premiership.
Card carrying timewasters.
Indeed. Sunderland fans pawn Geordies when it comes to Passion. Takes a really dumb fan to believe the hype and they's dumb.

It's the whole area that gets labelled 'the most passionate' yet they were struggling to pull in the punters when languishing at the arse end of Div 2. Twas only when Reid gave them sommat to shout about and they built that pretentiously named new stadium that they discovered 30,000 extra fans. Ficklest fucks in football.

Not entirely true. I was thinking of their time spent in the old 3rd division when, like us, they had over 30,000 fans for very lowly league football. That always impressed me.

Well ok, my memory don't go back that far. When I were a nipper I was a bit of a statto and I just remember of all the 'big' clubs who, like City, spent a fair amount of time in the old Div 2 in the '80's, Sunderland and Newcastle both had really poor gates in comparison. For me them pair, along with Villa, have the ficklest fans. Tis true.
