| | Well i was bored and looked at who's got who for the rest of the season. I think Liverpool will bag 4th..... and for city my predicts (and being positive are) Spurs - Draw Bolton - Win Birmingham - Win Chelsea - Draw Sunderland - Win Portsmouth - Win Fulham - Win Liverpool - Loss Boro - Win I reckon 5-9th will look as follows 5th Everton - 74pts 6th Aston Villa - 67 pts 7th City - 65 pts 8th Blackburn - 64 pts 9th Pompey - 60 pts I think our chance has gone .... we needed 6 pts from the last 2 games and got one..... time to lick wounds and re-build for next season me thinks....

| I think you're being very optimistic. The season is over. My fear is about who we can sign next season without Euro footy.

| I've given up on this season too, but seriously positive about next season, even if there is no euro footy on offer.
the players signed in the summer had no promise of euro footy, with this first half season creating a fair bit if interested around the world, I reckons we'll be seeing some good shit pass through the City doors, and hopefully some bad shit pass the other way.

| Hopefully Frank's deep pockets will prove to be tempting enough to some quality players next season. I just hope we can string some wins together before the end of the season and end it like we started it.

| Not that bothered anymore tbh. Renewed for next season, hopefully we'll bring in the quality we need in the summer and really give it a go.
All I hope for for the rest of this season is to be entertained in the last few home games remaining, I've actually forgot the last time I saw us win at COMS. Europe is now beyond us, especially with Spuds winning the Carling cup plus the draw for the semi's of the FA cup. Even if Pompey were to win it and finish in the top 6, I suspect it'd be City pushed down into 9th or 10th spot.
As a side issue, I'm dead against the Intertoto. If we can't do it the proper way, don't do it.

| | Well, that would leave us at 59 points, no so bad after last year. I'll do an update of my spreadsheet for Benny after tomorrow's game. I still think eigth is a reasonable shout. |

| I think 10 points from the next 9 games is the best we can hope for, and a ninth place finish.
