I am in Barcelona today, this morning when I finished my espresso and headed down to work the Celtic fans were supping cans of beer walking the streets at 9am. With a 9pm kick off time that makes for a long arse day. They have gotten more and more vocal by the hour too. Seems to be tens of thousands of em.

If City were in Europe I wouldnt be getting so pissed as to miss any of the action*.

* demolition

Is the orange* they all seem to be wearing amongst the green and white a religious connection? You'll excuse my dumbness.

* something I had not noticed before

Yes, it is religous.  The green, white and orange is from the Irish tricolor.  Green is for the older Gaelic tradition and orange is for Irish protestants (William of Orange).  The white bit is for the peace between them. (The last bit hasn't always been true!).

Back in the 90s, the Republic of Ireland football team (briefly) used an all orange strip.

Ta. I really should know more about religion but it bores me. Which I know is a very ignorant attitude.
