| without Petrov we are like team from half the table, we need Midfielders and Bojinov to came back and Elano to play super but that`s not gonna happen because he is very overrated

| save me Jeebus (02/03/2008) I'm not so sure formation is the problem right now. I think maybe we've got a touch of the jitters. We're coming to the business end of the season in with a good shout of europe and we're playing with too much caution, and too nervous. For the first time in years we're safe from relegation by christmas, so sven needs to tell the players to go out and relax and play without fear, forget the league table, just play the game and enjoy it, see where that takes us. Take some of the pressure off.I agree 100% with that. I also think that now the pressure is off us a bit because people are not expecting us to do aswell then we will start to play better. (not sure that makes sense but I know what I mean). |

save me Jeebus (02/03/2008) I'm not so sure formation is the problem right now. I think maybe we've got a touch of the jitters. We're coming to the business end of the season in with a good shout of europe and we're playing with too much caution, and toonervous. For the first time in years we're safe from relegation by christmas, so sven needs to tell the players to go out and relax and play without fear, forget the league table, just play the game and enjoy it, see where that takes us. Take some of the pressure off.A lot of the players though haven't been at the club long enough to remember constant relegation battles It doesn't matter. It's like the tennis player who gets to match point, they say that closing the game out is the hardest part and is more mental than anything. I know it's not the greatest analogy cuz it's not like we're close to winning the league or anything but, I know what I mean if nobody else does. If we get the ball wide getting early crosses in, we will score goals. If we shoot from outside the box once in a while, we will also score goals Concurrance. For 20 mins against Everton we played them off the park yet couldn't muster a single shot on goal. They had 3 or 4 attacks, scored twice, hit the post and should have had a penalty. The system is fine by me, we just need to stop fannying about so much and defend like we did against Utd, not how we did against Everton.
Sometimes I wish that I could stop you from talking when I hear the silly things that you say |

| I think we played reasonably well the other night and I think the game would've been different if elano had stayed on the pitch, that pass just before he was taken off showed what he offers, I thought we looked better with him than without him. Also if petrov had been playing I think it would've been different his pace and crossing is priceless to us, also let's not forget benjani should have scored in the first half when he was put through, he missed a good chance in the second, and we should have had a penalty, onuoha was held back when jumping for a ball in the area that he would've scored from. It was in the second half and I had a clear view of the incident.

| we are definately good enough for uefa we just need to throw caution to the wind a bit more often, sven manages like most european managers do, they go out to avoid defeat 1st and to win 2nd. Rafa it quite similar at liverpool it works in europe but in the prem the style of play just doesnt get enough goals to win enough games. I think Sven realises this now and I think we,ll be far more attacking now and I still think we,re a good bet for uefa cup place. Does anyone no why he picks caicedo over sturridge because it puzzles me.

I've read him say this is his 4th attempt at the FA youth cup and he really wants a meddle. Whether there are restictions or rules that come into play if you're in the first team I don't know.
Yes, all right.. Christ Almighty! It's like walking down a corridor and answering the door in Nazi Germany! |
