I was having a think about last seasons dire last quarter and thought to myself if you'd have told me that a year later

  • We'd be sitting in 8th...6 points off 4th
  • We'd comfortably beaten the rags twice
  • We'd raced to a quarter final of a cup to be knocked out by the eventual winners
  • That we'd have players passing the ball around like we do
  • That a celebrated and succesful manager was orchestrating the above
  • That the average age of the 1st eleven was under 23
  • That theres money in the coffers to come alongside some of the most promising young talent (studge, caicedo, richards, hart and schemicel) in the world

Id have said you were bonkers, put you in a straight jacket and put two pencils up your nose

The reality is im excited about every future game and im hooked on this squad and we will be going places within 5 years so hold on to your scarves and sing with pride......

Cometh the man cometh the wig....

you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass
he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

I don't think a lot of our so called 'fans' realise how young this team is. We will have all of these players peaking in a few years.. not to mention the youth team who are sitting 6 points clear of their league with 3 games in hand.... Can't wait

Indeed. And as long as confidence stays high while they gain experience we've got some good seasons to look forward to.

Yes, all right.. Christ Almighty! It's like walking down a corridor and answering the door in Nazi Germany!

Nicely put blueinyorkshire. Good thread, and its reassuring to see a bit of positivity.

I'm still thoroughly pissed off though.

Hope springs eternal Bill. Did I never tell you about the number of times I used to hope that they would hurry up and finish the motorway construction outside my classroom window?
