| Frank Blue (04/03/2008) Got the album now. Cheers Benny.
Didn't want to miss out, having failed to get Radiohead's In Rainbows for cheap. Anyone got that and any good?
I got it, paid £1. It's ok imo. It's no The Bends, but maybe I'm too tied to that album...

Bill Dando (29/02/2008) D A Bminor G. learn those chords and you can play the song.
Can't you play guitar? What did you do in your band?
He's the looks. Come one, if you're like Paddy you don't need to play. Maybe gay hand claps...
Really? Paddy can come around and tutor me in looking good if he wants?
Why can't i find a man to love and cherish me? |

In Rainbows is ace. It still gets better with every listen, and I've hammered it.
Cloudy, that is a beautiful guitar. Oddly I've never played a proper vintage Les Paul. I'd like to - its a heavy old beast.
What else? Paddy, you want to learn the piano? V difficult to pick up. Not really something you can just learn one song on. Especially if you've "never been in a band". You musr have been v drunk when we had that conversation btw.
Oh, and Cloudy you're wrong not to like the Charlies, although it may just be that you're too old. its a zeitgeist thing and all that.
I could do loads more smilies at this point. That really doesn't get used enough.
I couldn't believe how heavy it was!
As for the Charlatans, I'm winding people up a bit tbh as they've honestly just passed me by. Which is, I'm sure, an age thing.
Maybe I ought to splash out on this free album and improve my musical knowledge?
Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced. |

That really doesn't get used enough. A bloke I know has a custom job Les Paul, I think. It's a 1969 model in black and he got it in a swap for an cheap mandolin. It was one of those things that all guitarists dream of, as it was found in an attic in a bit of a state. He swapped his mandolin for it, got it patched up and doesn't play it. Worth a few grand!!!! (The mandolin was DM200!!!)
