Petrov pissed me off last night. He reminded me a lot of Ronaldo when we played United, he gave up. As good as he is, I want players who are willing to play for 90 minutes and put the effort in whether we're 6-0 down or 6-0 up. We need passionate players, not silly little boys who are gonna kick out at a team that, over the 90 minutes, outplayed, outclassed and outscored us.

To sum last night up in the immortal words of Gene Hunt, "No Fight"

I thought we were playing well until they scored, and both their goals didn't come from exceptional passages of play but from unforced errors on our part

We were pushing the ball round well enough but never really seemed to be getting anywhere though I didn't think.

Early days for Benjani, Benjani, Ferdinand is nothing to be scared of* I reckon.

fernandes has got to learn that when he's thinking about making a tackle, the play has already moved on I think, but I think we would've broken them down eventually, they couldn't get out of their half for a while, but conceded the goals so closely together effectively ended the game, they were ultra compact defending the lead

petrov didnt stop running, he was charging the ball down right til the end.

he always seems to be the one doing the most running. guess the frustration got the better of him last night. not seen the game but was he right (poor choice i know) to be frustrated? over the season i would even suggest he has been more instrumental than elano. controversial?

it just wasnt his night, he tried hard, but his crosses went long and he couldnt get round hibbert and he did a couple of nice shots, one i was right behind and it looked like it was going bottom corner, but it got blocked. it was a frustrating night and you could see him getting wound up. i saw his kick on tv at home after. it was minimal, osman didnt even flinch as he pretty much made the movement but then tapped him without any intention to hurt osman. but not something we can appeal against.

Cool Cool Coolio...
