| This guy is by far our best player! He has just scored taking us to 1-1 with blackburn! If he did not stay at city we would most certainly be up a certain creek without a paddle!

| | I dunno, Barton is a huge asset for the team and plays a vital role but there is something that just doesn't sit right about hiim with me. Many will accuse him of the aforementioned 'Hollywood Ball Syndrome' and the whole transfer request thing pissed me off. Probably personal preference but Hamman could play the same role at the club and we could earn some big bucks off of selling him, then again you don't win anything by selling your best players - ask late nineties West Ham. Some love him and some hate him. While the sensible among us sit on the fence and don't actually reveal anything

| I know its a team effort but he is one of the best we have at the moment! If these awfull results keep coming I can see him shipping out, and who could blame him? Again we are hearing nothing but exuses from pearce. He cant half come up with explanations why we lost the game but cant seem to turn this into any form of posotive action! Im sick to the back teeth of managers who steer city onto the rocks. You cant keep blaming the lack of funds!! Look at big sam of bolton, he had nothing and has turned it into a winning formation. Its more than pearce is doing I can tell you! Its not all his fault, its the players to but he has braught a few of them in! Samaras, all that money and he puts dickov in place of him??

| | City are up shit creek, you watch. I got a nasty feeling about this season now. Pearce will be out in a few weeks, then the usual merry go round will start. |

| | I hope your wrong Bassman, thats a very dangerous road to go down, look at how successful its been in the past!! We dont have millions and SP cant be blamed with the Keegan Legacy that he is trying to change, its just going to take time. Typical city will win a few now. Mid table again though.

| | We cant afford to sell anyone let alone Barton who is just about our best player at the moment. We have scored 2 goals this season and he has both of them (Obviously the own goal today dosnt really count) To be honest the Alarm bells were well and truley ringing for me in the Pompey game and with the Cole fiasco but everyone just told me to shut up and stop being negative. I have to admit most people I go to the matches with are also quite worried about the season ahead. My local supporters club is struggling to fill all the available tickets for away matches and the bus they charter from Northenden to Eastlands only has half the paid up members it usually has (So I have been told anyway) I keep saying it but the big problem is you cant see where thje goals are going to come from even when Vass is fit again he is not prolific and neither are the other three experienced forwards we have on the books. If you dont score goals you dont win games. Looks like we are in relegation scrap already for sure. |

As for Barton I think the mercenary twot will be gone by the end of the winter transfer window. He may be a good player, arguably our best, but it seems he is still a liability? From Sundays times..... ''According to the belated leak of a report sent to the FA after last year's FA Cup tie at Villa Park.the home team claimed the Manchester City midfielder called a female steward a ''f******s***',then pushed her before attempting to incite City fans on to the pitch. Any one hear about this before???

Any one hear about this before??? Yeah there's a thread going on about this, called Barton at the Villa. I don't think he's been very good this season. He was shite against Chelsea, shite against Pompey, improved against Arsenal though, and IMO annonymous against Reading. Can't speak for yesterday as i don't know. He's better to games like the arsenal one whenhe can make tackles and short passes. When he is allowed too much time it can be dangerous as he plays the hopeless long ball!
