| | Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano are wanted on loan by Brazilian club Flamengo in the January transfer window. (Various) I still don't understand this. How can two of fotball's hottest property's end up being touted round the globe like this? They'll be turning up on "I'm a Celebrity" at this rate. It can't be doing them much good never mind what it does to the game.

| | It's the way that players registrations are dealt within South America - the players are 'owned' by clubs or, in this case, businesses - the players have very little choice about where they play and can be told to go wherever the owners of their registration want them to go

| It's down to this business of them being 'owned' and controlled by companies, they go where they're told rather than where they want to. Not a good way for football to be going IMO.

| | There are still contracts between the companies that own the players and the clubs. They can't just move if the company gets a better offer from elsewhere. I thought Pardew said they had 4 year contracts? If they go it really just highlights that the "siginings" were some kind of media stunt by the Iranian guy that wanted to buy West Ham. Now that's gone tits up, he'll be looking to move them elsewhere. |

| Bit of a farce really. It was obvious to most when they signed in August that come Jan they'll be shipped off somewhere else due to them being 'owned' by a consortium.

| Mr Badger (15/11/2006) Bit of a farce really. It was obvious to most when they signed in August that come Jan they'll be shipped off somewhere else due to them being 'owned' by a consortium.True, but most also thought that would be a devastating blow to West Ham - as it is, I'm sure Pardew would be quite happy to see the back of them!

I remember hearing some on 5Live when they signed them. Some 'ammers were going on like they were league contenders because of it. Oh dear...

My point exactly. Whilst i don't care too much about them, we would have been the same. It's easy in hindsght to criticise, but we were the same with Anelka even though eventually he ended up shitting on us. Same with George Weah. So from experience you know they feel like mugs. It isn't their fault
