I admired his defencive work today, he covered back and marked Scholes, nullifying his influence. He also cut out a lot of Ferdinand's "passing"

I wouldn't hold your breath. At 2-0 up @ the swamp with 15 mins to go (& with Ireland putting in a possible MOTM performance), a guy behind me shouted that Ireland should "f*ck off to the Championship where you belong" because of a misplaced pass. Sadly, there's no pleasing some eejits.

According to one of the stories in the papers he completed 80% of the 55 passes he made. How close does that come to meeting people's expectations?

His hair is aerodynamically efficient. It's like a shark's fin-he can cut through the air now...

Sometimes things just stick in your mind. Like I think it was 4 passes in a row he gave the ball away with sloppy passing, and even if the next 20 find their target, those first 4 stick in the mind. Maybe unfair but... What you gonna do.

Yes, all right.. Christ Almighty! It's like walking down a corridor and answering the door in Nazi Germany!

I thought he was good against the rags. Mind, I really would be hard pushed to say a bad word about any of that team for a good while yet.

He was definitely better than he'd been lately. Its unfair to single anybody out really for good or bad performances on sunday after such a good all round game. I do think Dunne and Richards were immense again though. And Hamann. And Petrov.

And Ball and Ned too.

and Hart. What little he had to do he did well.

Oh fuck it. EVERYBODY did well. I'm just nitpicking really.
