| If City do do this, I shall start a runaway club, FC City of Manchester. We wouldn't sound like a team trying for success on the back of another, and we wouldn't have anything to do with Manchester City, despite playing in the same colour kit, a near as damn it badge, and a "massive" fan base

| | It is a shit idea, it's just another way to make more money ( funny how it comes 1 day after sky announce the first loss in 6 years - 112 mil). They have assumed that the big teams will end up in the top 5 places, if a less fashionable club were to finish high in the league- say wigan, who would want to watch them v bolton or boro.

The BBC Sport editor had this to say: "Some fans may feel aggrieved, but their concerns will be outweighed by the financial advantages for the clubs. "Clubs will see this as a chance to make more money so they can invest in new facilities and better players." So that's alright then, who gives a stuff about what the fans think? Seriously, has someone moved April Fools day or something? You're clearly not happy about this are you. It can't fly, surely.

Bigger Clubs will just get bigger.
Upsets the balance and fairness of fixtures.
1st step to a world league/super league.
Another kick in the teeth to proper fans.
All about fucking money.
I'm seriously thinkin of not goin to another game until this idea is history. (season ticket holder since 1990)

| | It sounds rather ambious to me. The NFL, MLB, and NHL only do it with one or two games. They don't try have 1/3 of their season played off-shore. This move would be unprecedented in professional sport. There are some serious flaws to the proposal as well, which have been pointed out. The imbalanced schedule, favouratism to the top five (unless we sneak in there of course ) and offsetting disadvantage for the bottom five (heaven forbid we are ever affected by that. Back to the drawing board I'd say. |

| | there arent ten extra games... 10 games = all twenty clubds playing one match anyway, stupid idea. maybe include it in some kind of winter break as they have all said they wanted. a two week winter break that includes one game overseas? but to play an extra game is ridiculous. so the possiblity of two teams trying to avoid relegation and so it goes down to the extra game. one plays arsenal and the other plays wigan. how is that fair?
