Reni is ordinary, AC/DC drumming I wouldnt class is almost entry level drumming, it's 4/4 rock beat, so he probably would have just about cut that.

*Perfectly aware of the guy, Bengt Lagerberg plays melodies almost. What? How so?

**Chilli Peppers have been an anthemic jizz fest since Blood Sugar Sex Magik.

*Well, in that case you will know exactly what i mean.

**that is your own personal opinion, with no basis in actual reality.

Interesting, my opinion isnt in reality? Well if it's written here I believe it is very real little man!!

Hmm, well this is embarassing, you remind me of myself when I was 15, how old are you?

Your opinions appear to be based on the fact that you only seem to listen to heavy rock. You don't have a wideknowledge of various kinds of music. They are the opinions of a Bevis or a Butthead.

Incorrect. But while we talk about the best drummers, you would have to say the best drummers are either jazz, funk, classical, progressive or hard rock as they play in some interesting time signatures and a chance to show technical ability. Not on offer in pop or indi rock, not that it's any less valid but *pop or indi is often run of the mill 4/4 time.

No, to me the best drummer/guitarist/bassplayers whatever, are the ones that play what compliments the music, whether it be intricate or simple.  Fretboard wankery does not equal genius.  Music is about what you leave out, as well as what you put in.

*that part is just your opinion.

Someone get a message through to Captain Snort

And keep Mrs. Honeyman right out of sight,
'Cos there's gonna be riot down in Trumpton Tonight.

Of course it is but if you take the guy from Cardigans and put him against any of the guys I mentioned and it would be stark comparison. The difference is the guys I mention play to the song but have the ablity to play up and wank if that need/want to, your guys do what the song requires but if it was asked they wouldnt get near the others technically.

Buddy Rich. End of thread.

you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass
he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

Yes they would.  It's okay to say technical is intricate.  But like i said before an understanding of music is an appreciation of what is needed.

Can you please search youtube (or anywhere else) to find me a vid or song that best displays each of their skills. Take your time.
