Right sided attacker!

Manchester City are closing in on Miguel Angel Angulo after his agent revealed he is close to reaching a separation package with Valencia.

Angulo was cast to the scrap heap along with David Albelda and Santiago Canizares when under-fire coach Ronald Koeman arrived at El Mestalla.

The 30-year-old attacker was told to find himself a new club after spending a decade with Valencia.

Sven Goran Eriksson is keen to bring the right-sided attacker to Eastlands, and Angulo’s agent Jose Luis Tamargo revealed he will soon be ready to negotiate a move away from Spain.

“The situation is positive and we intend to agree an end to his story in Valencia and then search for a new club,” confirmed Tamargo.

Valencia have granted Angulo permission to speak to City.

Meanwhile, Eriksson has told goalkeeper Andreas Isaksson he will not stand in the way of a potential transfer to Galatasaray.

"He wants to leave and there are a couple of possibilities for him to do that," explained the Swede.

"I will not stand in his way. He is still young and is a regular for Sweden

30 years old? Frank wont sanction that. Maybe on loan, as a tied over.

Yes, all right.. Christ Almighty! It's like walking down a corridor and answering the door in Nazi Germany!

30? Don't care so long as he's not as old as Cloudy.

he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

Probably worth a punt for Pele then.

Totally agree though. No problem with the age if he's good enough.

I wouldnt say 30 is too bad....2 yr contract would be cool.

He is a great player, he played for Spain. The good thing about him is that he play in different positions. I don't mind if he joins us, but the problem is that his age is 30!.

Not worth bothering with a 30 year old , we want to build a team for the future. Besides Angulo is not that impressive either and we need a striker much more than we need another Midfieler. Geovanni is fine on the right.

Hark now hear, the City sing
