| | Sven-Goran Eriksson says that City are working hard to bring in new faces before the transfer window shuts on Thursday night. Speaking at his midweek press conference ahead of the Wednesday night’s visit to Pride Park, the Manager revealed that he has two additions to his squad in mind and said, “We’re still working, we’re trying with two players at the moment but we know that time is running out. It’s very difficult with the really big clubs, they don’t want to release their great players at the moment. “It’s not a question of money, it’s more a case of if they release someone they have to find a replacement and I can understand that. If we want to take another striker, he has got to be very good for now and for the future as well.” Sven also confirmed that Georgios Samaras has joined Celtic on loan , and of the departing Greek striker he added, “It’s good for George, he’s gone to a good club, he can play in the Champions League and he wants to play for his country in the European Championships.” Despite the departure of one striker and no new faces as yet, Sven refuted suggestions that his squad was beginning to look thin and he said, “We’re not running out of players, we have Sturridge of course, that’s like signing a new player. Bojinov is training as well, I’m hoping he’ll be available quite soon and that’s like having a new member of the squad around as well.” |

| Cant really argue with that. Two signings I would be elated with, I am even coming round to the fact that one of them will most likely be Crouch. He scores goals. End of it. Fingers crossed they complete.
I didnt think about this, Samaras playing Champs League, who'd've thunk?!
As for Sturridge and Bojinov. Couldnt be happier.

Keep faith. They're just going to announce them all in one.
