ever seen a ballerina's feet. fucking well rank. anyway ESM, we might win. isn't that the point of wanting to go to these games, the joy of when we do win? Always hope Paddy, but we're on a bit of a downward spiral at the moment just can't see it. Get a good result tomorrow, more importantly a good performance, and I'll feel a tad more positive about Saturday.

| | you never know though. i thought that was the point. what the fuck has happened to us. WE ARE 7TH IN THE LEAGUE. It's not that fucking bad. we've hit a run of bad form, but it's no 14 games without a win. Very short memories on this board. how many goals did we scored at home last season? sturridge looked amazing in a dreadful performance on sunday. bojinov will be back soon. unbeaten at home. fucking hell, you're all a bunch of women. let's fucking have a crack at the arse and then go to the swamp and ruin the cunts on their big day.

| Timpblue (29/01/2008) we've had our miracle result against Arsenal for the decadeI've got a good feeling about the arsenal game. As long as we go at em and dont just try to contain them.

A bit harsh there Weege, Corluka is class (does it matter how he runs?), Petrov as you say is class. I have seen stuff from Elano this season that brings a smile to my face, he's brought in Hart and had the bottle to make him his number one. Elano will be more consistent when he gets fully used to the prem, it normally takes foreign players a season to get adjusted. Let's give Garrido a chance, he's only young and will need time to adjust. I can understand why you are frustrated but think we just need to take a step back and look at what we have achieved and not what we haven't done yet. Ok, Corluka is good. I was clutching at straws a bit. Elano sometimes looks like he can't be bothered and that annoys me. Hart was already at the club and knocking on the door so I'll put that down to natural progression. What exactly have we achieved though? Ok, we've got a good points haul over the whole season so far, but look at our last few games. We've scored 8 goals in 10 games, which isn't UEFA cup form. We've scored 7pts in 7 games in the league. That isn't even decent Championship form. And those 7 games go back to the Spurs game in mid-Dec. If we don't get a few decent back-to-back wins we're going to be well out of contention for anything, and heading for another mid/lower table finish. This form is "typical" City and is letting our good start seem a distant memory. As I said, we have had a dip in form but what we have achieved 40pts by mid January (when was the last time?), I have come away from the ground having enjoyed the football we have played which I certainly didn't last year and we are still unbeaten in the premiership at home. The football we have played for the majority of the season is a million miles ahead of last season (and I appreciate that wouldn't be difficult). I just feel all this negativity is a bit over the top and I don't mean just you there are quite a few who feel the same. |

It is just surprising how little time it takes for all the new players to fall into the typical city state Thats cuz Derby will probably set up to stifle and we haven't learned how to combat that yet. We struggle with teams that sit back and hit us on the break, but then so do the "big4" most of the time when teams set up like that against them. Arsenal will come at us, they wont be so cautious, so we'll have more time on the ball and more attacking space to play. I believe that suits us and we can exploit that. I predict good games from Petrov and Elano against Arsenal. I just hope Richards is back and Dunne plays well, we'll need those two to be on top of their game.
