This is a regret. We have 6 other useless strikers. Play Sturridge and Miller. Get some size up front.Ill go along with that. In actual fact I think it's all we can do? Who is fit and deemed worthy of a shirt? DV and.....? Hans B says Mpenza could be back for Sunday. I suspect he may be there or thereabouts.

Only other optoin is for us to start 4-1-4-1 with Vassell up fron but thats almost lke admitting we have to play on the counter all the time. Wish Sven would go for this one and play flowing, attacking football from wide with two strikers and two wingers (shame we haven't got any strikers and only one winger ) - maybe be 7-3-0 formation then !

I think SGE will play Samaras and Vass up front on Sunday. Would be great if Sam could get on the end of a couple of Petrovs crosses. Agreed, and if you asked him I bet he'd prefer to be playing striker rather than right MF behind striker. He works hard, I just wish he'd learn the offside rule. Run at the linesman Darius, and then duck in behind defenders.

Andy Cole was the same. And with the speed of the game and the fact you get so little time on the ball these days... you'd think that'd make him a 30 goals a season man. Hmmm...??? ah well, I guess 2+2 doesn't always make 4
