Hamann is urging Sven to buy him.

Maybe City could afford him if they sell Bianchi.

don't know if he is good enough to play as a lone striker in the Premier League.

seems to be a bit lazy too but still young.

I don't think we need him. Its all about our strikers we are missing Mpenza, Castillo, and Bojinov. Hopfully when two of them will be back we will have more options in the forward area.

How many shots did we force the keeper to make against West Ham?

The Blues were linked with the Bayern Munich striker last week, and now midfielder Dietmar Hamann has confirmed manager Sven Goran Eriksson has indeed asked him about his compatriot.

"Sven asked me what I thought of Lukas," Hamann told the News of the World. "I told him that Podolski is quick, skilful and dangerous in front of goal. Lukas is the striker at the top of Eriksson's wish list. He wants to sign him at all costs."

It is being reported that although Eriksson accepts Bayern will not sell Podolski during the current transfer window, he will try and tempt them to sell in the summer for around £18million.

But out of all the strikers that we've got, none of them are out and out goalscorers. Maybe Bojinov will be, PLEASE GOD!

I would love to see Podolski at City, however I do not believe Bayern will sell him now that Klinsmann is the new manager. Klinsmann really likes Podolski and he rates him very highly.

If we could get him it would be a fantastic signing, I think he would do well, he is a very young and talented player.

Hark now hear, the City sing

I think we need to bite the bullet and go for a proven PL striker. We can't afford to splash out on another 'talented' player from the continent and risk another flop. Granted we've got Bojinov nearing a return but there's no guarantee that feel start banging them in, plus it's going to take time for him to get back up to speed. Plus as I've said before, we need a right sided midfielder as a priority. As we saw yesterday, if a team can neutralize Petrov, we show very little by the way of goal scoring chances.
