B for Badger (18/01/2008) I think he's gone if we get a good enough offer. Shame really, I wanted him to do well (no idea why) but I don't think he had the chance to settle with Pearce playing him out of position so much. Time to go I'm afraid Freddie. Hope it is to Anderlecht and not another Premier League team though.Aye, to watch him come good just down the road would be a bit of an arse. Agree with both points, don't think he'll ever be top class though, a great season for him in the Premiership would be about 15 goals. Could have seen him doing alright at Birmingham (given good circumstances) I think that'd be right, and why I'd rather he go abroad. He'd be guaranteed to score against us. Definitely. Have to hope some of our foreign counter parts can keep us aprised of how he is doing. Unlucky for us. | Last Updated: Friday, 18 January 2008, 15:19 GMT |
Samaras set for Birmingham switch | Samaras has barely featured under Sven-Goran Eriksson |
Manchester City striker Georgios Samaras is poised to seal a move to Birmingham, BBC Sport understands. The two clubs have agreed a fee for the Greek forward and he is now hammering out personal terms with Birmingham. The Greece international joined Manchester City for £6m from Dutch side Heerenven in January 2006. Samaras scored six goals for City last season, but has barely featured following the arrival of Sven-Goran Eriksson as manager last summer. |

I wonder how much we will get for him? 2.5m maybe? Would prefer him to have gone abroad but at least he will be off the wage bill and leaves space for our new signing.............................. |

| Labmonkey (18/01/2008) What's he so terrified of in that pic?Taking a shot on goal, although that seems to be a theme within our strikers.
