Exactly. It's easy to send a team out to attack and look good. A different proposition to do that and not ship goals at the other end. Keegan will revive Newcastle for a few weeks or even months, but when the honeymoon period is over the geordies will be reminded why he left in the first place.

| They will play good football, which at the moment they aren't doing, so the geordies will be happy for starters. Maybe challenge for Uefa Cup next year, but they won't win owt.
Someone get a message through to Captain Snort That they better start assembling the boys from the fort. And keep Mrs. Honeyman right out of sight, 'Cos there's gonna be riot down in Trumpton Tonight. |

| What keegan done to newcastle was amasing to be honnest, he took over a shit team and got them to the premiership. They got better and within 2/3 years they nearly won the title, they were 12 points ahead of the scum but lost out to them finnishing runners up, thats the season he had that famous rant "love it" and to be honnest i really enjoyed watching them that year. Think he resigned pretty much after that.

| | Keegan's been very luck that every club he's managed have broke the bank to give him the money he wanted and still he couldn't win a trophy. Given the money keegan's had, I think I could buy a good team. He's a good motivator I'll give him that. His talent spotting and transfer dealings are woeful. In short, I think his achievements are over... something. I cant think of the word but, you know what I'm trying to say. Over?... No, its gone.

| Just found this, shocking for us really! The real cost of Keegan's spendingUpdated: March 26th, 2007It’s reckoned that a new car can lose up to 20% of its value the moment you drive it off the forecourt. A similar thing happened to Kevin Keegan’s signings as soon as the ink was dry on their contracts. As the table below shows, Keegan’s signings lost an average of £808,000 in value for each year they were at the club. In all, Keegan spent £44.2million on 16 players, 12 of whom have since left the club. Despite those dozen costing a combined £35.15m, City only recouped £9.33m for them. Below are the details of Keegan signings who have since left the club:

| | Is it just me or did Kevin Keegan look like a rabbit caught in the headlights on MoTD on Saturday night? I know he always sounds a bit nervy but he looked almost panick striken I thought. (Btw, I did text this to a couple of so called friends but they ignored it. )
Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced. |
