Its not even funny. Do we all, in time, become mechanoidal forum zombies, incapable of independent expression?

Attention to detail on the spelling mistake too, that's why I love you.

Haha, that little snippet of 'transfer gossip' made me laugh.  As if.  Doesn't Dunney still have years on his contract, or is that wishful thinking?  Isn't this just a renegotiation of his terms to reward his performances (and loyalty!) now that we have more money to splash out on wages?

He's still got three or four years. It's just paper rubbish innit.

Yeah.

The whole article says that Dunne has only 18 months left on his contract as he signed a three year deal in 2006.  He is currently on £28,000 a week and wants his wages to reflect his worth to the club.  I think he will sign, we are probably just trying to take advantage of his loyalty to save some money.  If we are about to start paying Micah Richards about £50,000 a week then i can see why Dunne wants more than he is getting.  He is our captain, one of our most important players and frankly should be given wage parity with some of the other earners at the club.

Yer know what makes me laugh right. Rio is on £100,000 grand a week Micah wants £70,000  a week, Surley Dunne is worth £120,000 a week. If Dunne were English i bet he'd give Terry and Ferdinand a run for their money to get into the England side.

I agree but he signed it when we had that more tight wage structure in place.  I am suprised he is not more pissed off as the rumours were we offered about 40k a week to Distin to get him to stay and we increased Joey's wage when he started complaining.  If i was Dunne i would refuse to sign until the club increased his wage as if the club will offer big wages to players of lesser ability who are not loyal then the club should also offer the same money to players who actually play for the shirt.
