| West Brom have until the end of the transfer window to decide whether to give Ismael Miller a permanent deal. The striker is on-loan at the Hawthorns from Manchester City and the Baggies have already agreed a fee with his parent club should they decide to take up the option. Miller will remain with West Brom until the end of the season regardless of the decision taken by the club but the offer to make the deal permanent is only valid until the end of the current window. After scoring 10 goals in 22 appearances this season Tony Mowbray is keen to push the deal through but admits that the player may want to explore other options after making a name for himself in the Championship. Staying here"To get him at a certain price we would have to get him signed this month," the Baggies boss told the Birmingham Mail. "If we don't do that he is not anywhere, he is staying here and hopefully scoring goals. "But after that the price goes to whatever Manchester City want to ask. "He might score another 30 goals before the end of the season and then they would have a £10m striker on their hands. Options"Everything is put in place but the player has got to be happy. "That's the final piece of the jigsaw, you have to conclude a player agreement. "But because Ishmael is doing so well he may want to keep his options open. "If he continues to score at the rate he is scoring for us it might not just be Albion wanting him, it might be Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool or anyone else for that matter. Tough decisions"He has got to make some decisions along the line, such as, is he happy here? Does he think this is the right type of club for him? Do we play the football that helps his game? "If he doesn't want to stay here then we will have benefited if he has fired us to the Premier League. "I would hope he does enjoy it here and hopefully something will be sorted out, but we'll wait and see." I thought the Idea was to farm him out to gain experience. He has been doing really well in the Championship and could become a great player, so why sell him?

| He signed a new 3 year deal a few days before the loan was announced so this does not make any sense to me. We may have agreed a price but surely that only will come into force if we want to sell him and I'm not sure we should.
I gave Elano my Porsche and now I want it back! |

| I'd rather he came back to us for a while to see if he can repeat his current form against Premiership opponents.
you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

| B for Badger (15/01/2008) I'd rather he came back to us for a while to see if he can repeat his current form against Premiership opponents.Me too, I dont think he got a fair go last year and his form in the reserves and CH have been good and with good players around him, maybe he would shine. No striker last season got any decend service and he was playing left midfield.

| | On the official site Sven says that he is on loan til the end of the year and he will return in the summer and they will then decide on his future. So sounds like more bollox in the press again. |

| I'd be pissed off if they sold him. At least we have to try him upfront first, rather than stuck on the wing as Pearce played him.
