Gary Owen says Bojinov's got one of the biggest surgical scars he's ever seen on a leg. He thinks it will be end of Feb/early March before we see him in any competitive action.

Samaras is likelyto figure - who else is there ?  Vas will obviously start, but if we need 2 up front to make the most of crosses from the left then Sam has to be the target man - (can't believe I'm actually talking myself into thinking Samaras playing might be a good thing..............................time to take a break.  maybe we could play Isaksson up front.......that makes more sense now.

Samaras will shine on Sunday as it's lower league opposition. He gets bundled about in the Prem and doesn't have time on the ball, but against a mid-table Championship club he'll be in his element*

(*possibly**)

(**hopefully!)

Whats the point in rushing him back for the injury to flare up again? I know things have moved on over the years and his injury in many ways is quite common now, but we don't want to risk another Paul Lake situation.

CITY fans might have to wait until next season before they see the best of Valeri Bojinov.

The Bulgarian striker, who has managed less than an hour's competitive football after his £6m switch from Fiorentina in the summer, has been out since the August derby victory over United in which he sustained serious knee damage after just eight minutes.

He has now returned to training but progress is necessarily slow and assistant boss Hans Backe admits that there are no immediate first-team plans for the 21-year-old.

"Valeri had his first session on Wednesday and I don't know if I am being a little pessimistic or not but with the kind of injury he has had I am inclined to think that he will not be fully fit until the summer," he reported.

Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced.
