Manchester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson has revealed that Andreas Isaksson has been told he can leave the club.

The 26-year-old Swede has struggled to hold down a first-team spot at Eastlands this season, with Eriksson opting to play youngster Joe Hart.

And after holding discussions with Isaksson, Eriksson has confirmed that he will not stand in his way should he seek a move away from the club in the January transfer window.

Professional

"Andreas is extremely professional, he didn't like my decision of course, that's understandable and he's disappointed," said Eriksson.

"But there has not been one bad word, he's working as hard as the others and doing fantastic training.

"If he wants to go, we said okay. If he wants to go I understand it absolutely, so it's totally up to him."

Don't think it's a shock to be honest Hart number one now and Isaksson number two which i don't think he's happy about
