| Oh NoooooooooMills' Charlton spell may be over | Charlton were keen to keep Mills | Danny Mills may have played his last game for Charlton after being sent off in the 1-1 draw with Hull. Mills, who is on loan from Manchester City until the new year, was dismissed for using foul and abusive language. "We have been discussing the situation with City in terms of keeping Danny," said Charlton manager Alan Pardew. "We need to absorb what happened here on the back of that. It's difficult to reflect now. He will miss three games, so we have a big decision to make." Mills was sent off after reacting angrily following a clash with Hull striker Caleb Folan. Pardew added: "It (the sending off) was for something he said and not something he did. I'm afraid that's inexcusable." http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/c/charlton_athletic/7158159.stm

More Danny Mills news. Danny Mills
England right-back Danny Mills signed for Manchester City in 2004 after agreeing an early release from his contract with Leeds United. Mills spent last season on loan at Middlesbrough after falling out with then Leeds boss Peter Reid and found his career was in limbo when he returned to Elland Road to be told he had no future with the cash-strapped Whites. Boro decided against offering the 27-year-old a permanent deal because of his salary expectations, while Birmingham City and Newcastle United both elected not to pursue their interest for similar reasons. Keegan moved quickly to agree terms with Mills and the move was only delayed while the player negotiated the terms of the cancellation of the remaining three years of his Leeds contract. Mills began his career with Norwich City, before moving on to Charlton Athletic in 1998 and then on to Leeds in a £4million deal a year later, making a total of 240 league appearances. His first season at the City of Manchester Stadium proved to be a success as he played an integral role in the City defence. He played 35 matches all in all. His form was, however, a little inconsistent at times.
