| I like the guy, I think he has a great touch, he has proved he has an eye for goal and I think he makes things happen. If Keegan was still boss he would play elano & geovanni together sat behind a lone striker with hamann sitting in front of the back four....i think given poor opposition to play i think they would look tasty sat behind a decent forward...

| He's class IMO. He looked good against Reading and Wigan, the way he was beating players against Reading and dribbling through was good. I think he's trying his best to try and get a starting place which he did against Wigan - even if it was because of injuries.

| I'm not convinced yet. Playing him and Elano would be a big risk.

| Band AIDS Bastard (03/12/2007) I'm not convinced yet. Playing him and Elano would be a big risk.Or a masterstroke? Perhaps Sven is waiting until the 2nd half of the season before he unleashes them in tandem? And then we'll go on to decimate the rest of the league and win the title by 15 points.

| | Perhaps. Or perhaps we'd have three midfielders on the pitch (inc Petrov) who do fuck all tracking back and we end up getting hammered. Does Geovanni have Croft-style fitness issues?

| He is a great backup/rotation player for Elano and Ireland as he can play right wing and attacking midfielder and could probably play as forward too. I still think Elano is a more complete footballer then Geo so Elano is first choice still. I would like too see them play both in same game at least one game.

| They both played in the same game already - at home vs United.

| | It was hardly the greatest midfield display we've seen. From what I've seen Geovanni's better coming off the bench.

| | I didn't think our midfield was particularly stellar against Wigan. We gave the ball away far too easily. |
