Someone get a message through to Captain Snort That they better start assembling the boys from the fort. And keep Mrs. Honeyman right out of sight, 'Cos there's gonna be riot down in Trumpton Tonight. |

| | <sigh> Right, I'll fucking comment then shall I? Good move for him IMO. Can't lose can he? If they stay in the bottom three people will just say "well he never had the players", then he's got parachute payments next season to get enough quality in to bring them straight back up. If he does manage to keep them up though he'll be hailed as a miracle worker. If he can start by firing a few fucks into the defense and organising them properly so they're a bit less porous he might start to pick up the odd point. They play Sunderland at the weekend don't they? Big match right there.

They were organised and got about us, I felt that they'd pick up enough pints from the teams round them to retain PL status. Trouble is, same as Wigan, Reading, Sunderland etc, they play well but just don't seem to be getting the results. It's a very competitive league this year.

That's a bit harsh, calling them a pub team.

| I think they've got the best manager they could have hoped for in their situation, although I don't think they should have sacked Davies in the first place.
you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

| I felt for Davies, but you have to wonder why they were continually shipping so many goals. It wasn't just down to the standard of player on the pitch - I watched the West Ham match and they were all over the place in terms of position and marking. they looked clueless at the back. that's down to the manager IMO. I suspect Jewell might be able to make a bit more of an impact in that department.
