| | I reckon fat sam is skating on thin ice. only a matter of time before his fat arse is shown the door. he's bought some players, and none of them are doing it. Is it Blackburn and Arsenal next up? Could be about 13th or 14th after that.

| | there is little that would give me greater pleasure than that fat fuck being sacked. should put him out of contention for the england job as well. from what i read there was something about the geordies not liking his "style of play", would that be the long ball/twat the opposition bit by any chance? |

Even though City were struggling last year, the board didn't really want Allardyce as the next manager because they viewed the football Bolton played as "unsightly". Unsightly. Indeed, the mighty Bolton Cloggers. Now being practiced at a stadium in Newcastle.

Viduka - lazy git, Barton - average midfielder/potential jailbird. I think that Capaca looks the best of his signings.

| Alan Smith really is nothing now, 2 years since his last PL goal. Ouch.
I dont believe Viduka is lazy. Everyone says this, he does more than seems immediately obvious for a striker. He is expert at receiving the ball with back to goal, holds off defender and looks to play in another. Loads of critics of his playing for Australia say the same, as a 30+ yr old striker he is intelligent with the ball even if not a Thierry Henry type striker running at players et al. He aint lazy.

| I would have agreed a few years ago about Viduka. Maybe his time at Middlesbrough has made him like that, it probably would for most players. Don't think he's the player he was. Can still score a goal or two when he puts himself about though.

| Newcastle boss Sam Allardyce tried to dig into what was wrong with his poorly performing side when he asked his players if they did not like him or his training methods - the responses were of the mumbled variety. (Guardian)
