England face Croatia on Wednesday and need a point to clinch qualification.

"Qualification is key. We're back in control and in the driving seat and it's up to us," said the England coach.

"There are no excuses. We've got to make sure we qualify. Croatia have nothing to play for but are a very good side and capable of winning this game."

If Croatia avoid losing 2-0 or more, then they win the group. Therefore they have something to play for. I'm sure they'd love to top the group as would we. Everything he says is dumb. The other day he actually had the temerity to claim that the fans supported him. Yeah sure, Steve. Whatever.

A part of me wants England to lose on Wednesday.

Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced.

I know exactly what you mean, Cloudy. Then I think of a long summer without England at the finals and I know I want us to win.

Yup. The Croatia result at the weekend was a fluke, the Israel/Russia result the icing on the cake.

Now McClown can go out there on Wednesday and completely balls it up without worrying about other scores. Trouble is if we lose and he's fired, the wankers at the FA will only appoint another cretin.

I like to take the first two weeks of the tournamant as my hoiday so I can watch all the games so the other part of me wants us to be there. We really don't deserve to be though do we? We must have had the easiest group in the history of the Euro Champs haven't we?

I don't think there are many shite teams about nowadays, but we didn't draw one of the big guns granted. We've still made a complete tow of it mind, and dome people are looking to Wednesdays game as a formality, it's gunna be way harder than that.

A desperately dull 0-0 where we show no creativity and are totally lucky to even get a point will do me.  It might just be enough for him to get the boot.

Sad to say I reckon he's staying even if we lose BB.

The FA have been priming the media with the idea for weeks now so I wouldn't be suprised at all.
