Phew, there it is.  Thanks, Benny

Did you spot the subtle dong?

Not at first, it's only a tiddler.

That's the subtlety you see.  It's my hallmark-you'll never be foxed by a fake benny...

Well an artist can only paint what they know...

ooooooo you on fiiiiiiire tonight, lablady.

See, that was good.  I have no comebacks.  All I can do is take it on the chin.  Hur hur.

(I'm sooooooo going to do some paint on the back of your head now LM.....)

How's this?

That's pure evil!

Folks, other than a change of characters, this conversation actually happened.  Me and LM claim plenty credit for abandoning BU to the drunk guy, but it was the best response ever...(apologies if only I find this funny, for everyone else, there is a spot the dong competition...)

Best. Commentary. Ever.

"It's certainly better for England to win here tonight than not"

Genius.

How ever much they pay him, it's not enough.

Just like the England team eh?

Overpaid and underwhelming. And they want to keep McClaren on? No thanks. Who in their right mind considers Martin O'Neil for a job and then says, 'No, I think I'd prefer Steve McClaren actually.'

Who in their right mind would consider Martin O'Neil an international class manager?

All things are relative Squidger.

I reckon O'Neil would have done a considerably better job than McClaren. O'Neil is a good manager and a decent tacticion, something we've been missing for England. He would have been the best man for the job then, although Mourinho would be my choice now.

I would agree that O'Neil would be preferable to McClaren but that's not saying much really.

I watched the Villa v Birmingham game last weekend and Villa were really poor. Later was Portsmouth v City and both teams were in a different league in terms of quality of football.

Maybe we should give Sir Harry Catflap the England job?

Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced.

That's more or less what I was saying. Not that O'Neil is a genius, but alongside McClaren he's the Einstein of football.

Once we'd screwed up the whole Hiddink deal we were left with few choices. O'Neil said he desperately wanted the job, and we gave it to McClaren. That was foolish.
