| | I don't know where Newcastle have got their cash from over the last 5 or 6 years. They just might be the next Leeds. And how much have they wasted on rubbish like Boumsong and Luque? |

|
Maurizio Nicked My Porsche (27/10/2006) See Newcastle lost shit loads of cash last year.Could they go the way of us with our debt hindering investment in players, or even Leeds? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/6090306.stm
They've lost shit loads? Is the official term? I think they could be in deep shit though...don't see where the money is coming from

| If last season was a one-off blip, they'll overcome these financial results but if they don't qualify for Europe this season, or crash out very early, I don't know how long they can sustain the huge wages they seem to be paying. At the very least they could end up unable to bring in new players, but it could end up as bad as Leeds if they're not careful. It is certainly a risky game to play, but then again, it does kind of depend on how they are being financed and the terms of the arrangement, which I don't actually know.

| I seem to remember a few weeks ago thatthey were suing the FA for the loss of Owen. Did anything come of this?

| | I'm sure the FA will fight that one all the way, as that would open up the flood gates. What won't be in this set of results is the £17million they have spent this current financial period (tranfer fees alone god know what wages) for Duff and Martins. Roeder is on the thinnest of thin ice at the mo.

| It is when you think that if they had stuck with the site just outside Burton they could have had a fantastic stadium and an FA acedemy which would be the envy of the world and put Clairefontaine in it's place.
