you know, you know, if a feller named Monroe never fathered bluegrass he would still be unrecognised as the grand wizard of speed metal

| Badge, I dont know who that artist is but that photograph I love, really, very cooool. Beguiling? Maybe so. Cant put my finger on it, but it's dark and for me opens a huge scope for interpretation.

| Good album, but the free download is even better. GBP17,49 for this at Amazon?! Balls to that. It cost me €1,99 plus post.

Free cd of Bowie covers with this month's Uncut includes an awful "Rebel Rebel" from Sigue Sigue Sputnik but a brilliant "Sound and Vision " by The Sea and the Cake as well as decent "Heroes" King Crimson, "Moonage Daydream" by LA Guns and "Memory of a Free Festival" given fresh legs by Mercury Rev.
Listening to the covers does make you realise how distinctive Bowie's voice was though. Like him or loathe him he was unique.
Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced. |

Someone get a message through to Captain Snort That they better start assembling the boys from the fort. And keep Mrs. Honeyman right out of sight, 'Cos there's gonna be riot down in Trumpton Tonight. |
