im not saying sack pearce.. but im def undecided on the matter. are you not concerned BU? I dont think a less likeable bloke would have been given this long to turn our form around. And we just seem to be getting worse.
Of course I have my concerns, and I have said so. However, what you say is not true, at least not at other clubs. Should Benitez not be worried at Liverpool, or Jol at Tottenham, given their spending and current league position? I listen to 606 quite regularly and if I had a £1 for every fan who said "last year I phoned in saying how we should sack ************ but now I'm happy as larry" then I'd be able to afford a very good night out, with a kebab and everything. This time last year Everton fans were whinging like some of us are. I heard Arsenal fans slagging Wenger earlier this season. You always get plastic rags phoning up wanted Taggart to be sacked after they lose a couple of games. West Ham fans wanted rid of Pardew the year before last (and may well want rid again soon!).
SP has had less than 2 years in charge. We are not in immediate danger of relegation. We have spent a pittence. Given those cold facts then calling for his head is ludicrous. However, my concerns are our lack of inventiveness, our lack of organisation, and SP's insistance on playing players out of position. They do worry me, but I still think it fair he should have a while longer to see if he can put it right. I am by no means convinced anyone else thats available would do much better, and considering SP has worked on a tiny budget without grumbling if he can keep us up then as far as I'm concerned he can stay in the job. He may not be the man to bring us glory, but he may well be able to lay foundations.

It's not OK for a club like us to not be saying that after establishing ourselves in the prem that we are not going for europe. I'm not stupid enough to think we have a right or that it is easy, because lots of other clubs want the same thing. But we should at least be looking to challenge. Imagine how different it all could have been if Robbie had scored that penalty...

It'll do if it's achieved with a net £1.5m spent each summer. When we have some real funds to spend is when I would like to see a change of manager.

Not sure that the penalty would have made any difference really, we would probably have done an easyjet ala Everton knowing us!

| | Where have we gotten to when BU is the paragon of reasoned debate and "un-negativity"? (well, you can't say he's being positive, who is?) So I'll hang in their if he does. Lets see what Pearce can do playing his 11 best players in their best positions (as was said elsewhere) for five or six games. If that happens and we just have two or three points to show for it, then the knives can come out. Even so, there should be some prospect that a change will make a significant difference. Otherwise we are just marking time, and haven't we done enough of that already? |

| | Just been to the pub and was playing pool with a few with a few old/er guys and one of them really really can't stand Samaras. He said i must be watching a different game. To me playing Samaras on the left and calling him shit is like putting Barton in net and saying he's shit. He didn't agree with that...and then he beat us at pool

| I think we should at least wait until the end of the January transfer window and see who Pearce can bring in. A win on Monday would do him a world of good though
