| | Big piece in the MUEN - I am slightly worried by the tone Pearce is using - its sounds as if he is going to give Ireland a final chance to porive himself when he's fit and then he could be down the road. I think this is a shame as he is undoubetedly a very talented player and could add that spark to midfield that has been sadly lacking. Any thoughts?

| | At first i thought Ireland was going to be our creative man in the middle. Not sure if he's really gone on to that next stage. A bit like Lee croft, he looked good at first, but then tailed off. |

If it's the same article as is on the OS, it looks more to me that SP is saying Ireland can't really be judged until he has had an extended run in the team, as Richards has, not necessarily that this is his last chance. Sounds like SP may be giving him a break, but I agree it is open to interpretation.

| I think its important that we stick by stevie as he is the only midfield player we have that can pass to a team mate and unlike any of the others in the centre ne entire midfield who can create something out of nothing. Last season he suffered from being played far to many times when we should have been easing him into the team but I can see him going the way of croft and bradley (neither really given a chance except from 50 x 10 min sub apps which you arnt gonna improve with)
