| | Oh dear, oh dear. Anyone else feeling not so bothered about last night's result? At least there is the rugby, eh?

| | McLaren will almost certainly be gone. Then the FA need to look at their role in all of this - we've been failures for years. It's down to more than just the manager. I'm not the biggest England fan, but it is still disapointing. The two games where they have had to work, where they've come up against decent opposition in their own country, they've failed. Croatia and Russia might not be the best teams in the world, but they aren't bad either. And we've fallen to them both. How can you hold aspirations of winning major trophies if you can't force a draw or win in these places? The FA should beg Jose to come in and make all the changes he needs to make, and just give him whatever money he wants - and the freedom to change it all. In the short term we'd qualify for sure, in the long term he could make the changes that might sort us out for years to come. They need more than a head coach.

| Squidge thats a pretty good synopsis mate. Major overhaul from top to bottom required. Starting at the top would be my vote.
It is staggering England may not qualify for Euro08. It is in fact very unlikely now. Having to rely on anther match is just BS, the damage was done in the earlier group matches.
Although England and the supporters do think the are better than they actually are, they should have topped this group at the least. Just my opinion.

| | It may not seem that bad now, but wait until the Euro's start next summer, it'll hurt then. It'll also fuck any chance of seeding for the World Cup qualifiers too. Not sure who to blame for last nights result. Bar the odd injury I think most people would have picked the same starting 11 bar Robinson. Unlucky for the first goal, Robinson at fault for the second, Gerrard carrying his poor form into the game. Anyway, out of our hands now.

We actually played ok and didn't deserve to lose. Robinson was to blame again but it was the kind of mistake David James is just as likely to make. Elano scored for Brazil though Petrov played for Bulgaria so seems to be over his injury, Corluka and Dunne haven't played midweek, Micah seemed to come through without injury so we should be ok for Saturday. |

| We were beaten and by a poor side but Mclaren is and always has been tactically inept.... Whats becoming more and more apparent is that the press were wrong to lambast Sven, after all Sven never lost a qualifier and look at Mclarens record already...lost 2 What England have lost we have very much gained and I am smiling because we have Sven but anxious that England have Mcdonut as the Coach....could Pearce be lined up for the England post sooner rather than later?

| | To be honest, I cried. 19 years old and as far as I can remember (I don't remember '92!) we've always been there. McDonut want's a good smack. I propose we all apply for the England job when it comes vacant, and see the FA's reply. Even a letter of rejection would be amusing in the state our football is in. As said though, at least all the blues came through injury free, although Elano could be a doubt with Jet Lag, depends how he responds... If he wasn't such a legend already at our place, I'd scream Sven back in!

| | Just goes to show the lack of quality in the squad is now worryingly thin Cole is injured - we have to use a converted centre back, Terry is injured - Campbell has to come in If Owen is out - we have no other world class strikers - Rooney is not world class We have a right footed midfielder on the left Also Gerrard and Lampard have repeatedly shown themselves to be bottlers against any team that isn't total shit - witness Gerrard's miss last night We need a seismic shock to the national game along the lines of what happened in Scotland - but it won't happen
