| Jamie Carragher should be there.
Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced. |

| | Well Terry's out and Ferdinands doubtful at the minute. i'd play Neville at RB Sol and Micah as Centre backs and Nicky shorey at Left back, his natural position. |

| There's such a big deal being made about this plastic pitch that the game's gonna be lost before we even start.
Yes, all right.. Christ Almighty! It's like walking down a corridor and answering the door in Nazi Germany! |

| | I can't say i've ever played on an artificial pitch but Terry apparently tweaked his knee on it today and i Fear Fer Mickey Owen, he may just trip over on the way out onto the pitch and be out fer a year. |

| Mr Badger (16/10/2007)
Cloudyshin O'Watra (16/10/2007)
Labmonkey (16/10/2007) To be fair to Lescott, he has played at left back quite a lot, and has had a good start to the season. This selection brings up the old 'form vs class' argument again - is it better to have a lesser name given a chance when he is on top form, or a tried-and-tested established name (Phil Neville? No ta!) who's not playing so well or is past his best? The left hand side has long been a problem for England, and our lack of strength in depth if the first choices are out is all too clear. I don't want to be "fair" to him though Labmonkey. He has hair that makes him look like Herman Munster. I was watching the Estonia game and just kept thinking "WTF is going on with his hair?" hit by a car.
The PB for Mod pledges: Cloudyshin O'Watra, ESM, MSTB, Squidge, Buff, Noddy the Bolton Blue, Spiderpig, Emigre, The Ghost of Gibbi, Bill, Danny's Stud's, Shimmer. |
