| | so I have nothing sensible to say??? U are some hypocrites. I just say that Anelka is not good for the team because he is a mercenary. U just claim that I have nothing sensible to say but at the same time you spam some threads like that about Ireland by talkin about food and other "sensible" stuff. And another thread is called: "Roma can fuk off" But u won´t hear the hypocrites complain about that.

| Suggesting that someone should marry Anelka is hardly sensible now is it?

| UNITED and City could be set to lock horns in a January transfer window fight for Nicolas Anelka.
Both the Reds and Blues are keen to strengthen their attacking departments after the New Year and the Bolton striker has the CV to interest the Wanderers' Manchester neighbours. (MEN) Anelka would be the perfect last peice in the jigsaw from a footballing point of view. Not so sure about his impact on team spirit though?

We have Bojinov. Lets see what he can do before bringing anyone else in.

If Mpenza, Bianchi, Samaras and Vassell are our back up then I'm a happy boy. We also have Sturridge, Evans and Miller who all have potential to come through. I can't condone spending money on strikers this January. Need more time to assess what we have.

With the strikeforce we have I would say 6th or 7th is realistic. With Anelka I reckon we could get 5th spot with an outside chance of 4th. Having said that, I would also probably argue that Champions League football next season would be a step that we're nowhere near ready to take as a club and could even be a bad thing* if we were to qualify. (*see Everton)

| | I also just want to add to this debate that Bojinov has undoubted potential, and he looked really good as a teenager in Serie A however he didn't rip up ay trees on loan at Juve in Serie B so let's not try to hold him up as some kind of finished article. He is not an Anelka who is a proven premiership goal scorer and we know from experience will definately score 15 - 20 league goals a season and in a really good team could conceivably score nearer 30.

With David Trez and Del Perio I think not many player's would get ahead of them |
