I know he's been copping it from you guys quite a bit as he hasn't performed to expectations of his high price tag but don't you all think it's a bit unfair to judge him when he has been played out of position for most of this season. As a left or right winger he is useless because... he's not a winger. When he has gone up front he has scored. Anyway, I just want to hear some opinions on him from you guys

Like you say, when he plays a full 90 minutes as a striker he looks ok, but why Pearce keeps playing him out of position beggars belief. Firstly he's crap on the left, and secondly, all it's going to do is destroy his confidence. We all saw what he's capable of against West Ham, so why then stick him on the left for the next 2 games?

he's ok up front and is clearly a player who will retreat into his shell if he isn't playing where he thinks he should  - still think he needs to work harder though

I think he's decent up front in his proper position.  He just needs to develop a bit more of the strength required for the Premiership and become a bit more consistent, but I'm confident that can come with age and experience - he has shown glimpses of what he is capable of.  As you say, it's not really fair to judge him playing out of position, though I notice the Greece manager also sometimes sticks him out on the left.

He's the only goalscorer we have.  He's only young, so a bit inconsistant.  He will get better with more experience.  Plus, better service to him could help.

He will be a fantastic player for our club. Pearce should realise what he is doing to him when he shoves him on the left...not only in each game but the long term effects. He is young like you have said and he is very much learning the game. I think it is too easyto judge him by his price tag...he didn't ask for us to pay so much though.

And remember...the goat didn't become a hero straight away!

He needs to work harder and be more aggressive and then he will have all the assets you need to be a top player.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I have noticed that (no offence) your midfield sucks dick in terms of creativity. All that comes out of it are long balls aimed at nothing. When will Beasley be back and is Pearce going to buy a midfielder with a footballing brain in the winter?

You think Pearce will be still here come January?

Our problem is width for than anything, and why the fuck SP keeps reverting to this 4-3-3 I'll never know. Sinclair can do a job, as can young Miller, even Barton when playing on the right does ok. One of SP's biggest fuck ups was not replacing Riera, and not buying a creative midfielder.

Don't worry, we're fully aware of the deficiencies of our midfield!  We'd love to see a good creative midfielder arrive in January, but the decent ones don't come cheap and Pearce doesn't have money to spend so it's not going to be an easy task...
