On another note, if Curbs is appointed on the 1st November, it will give him time up til Christmas to get used to his squad and enable him to make a more informed judgement in the January transfer market. Not that I'm advocating Pearce be sacked before Christmas you understand I made a similar point the other day, if this ship keeps sinking then we're going to have a fair few jumping in the January transfer window, and is this a risk worth taking?

How can you expect loyalty from players when you show no loyalty to the manager? |

| Bert Trautmanns neck brace (25/10/2006) I really don't think you can use passion and Curbishley in the same sentenceMaybe not Bert, but we need someone who doesn't buy duds, and then play them out of position. My greatist fear with SP is that he hasn't a clue when it comes to tactics.

| Cooder (25/10/2006) It would be nice to feel something resembling passion and pride againTrue, but if results turn around, it means I can passionately go and get myself another pint after watching them on Sky Sports Extra!

What message does it send out to the likes of Barton, Richards, Distin etc if we're sat in the bottom 3 come the transfer window with no light at the end of the tunnel?
